30 Weeks!

Your baby's about 15.7 inches long now, and she weighs almost 3 pounds (like a head of cabbage). A pint and a half of amniotic fluid surrounds her, but that volume will decrease as she gets bigger and takes up more room in your uterus. Her eyesight continues to develop, though it's not very keen; even after she's born, she'll keep her eyes closed for a good part of the day. When she does open them, she'll respond to changes in light but will have 20/400 vision — which means she can only make out objects a few inches from her face. (Normal adult vision is 20/20.) - Babycenter.com

Looking at the head of cabbage just reminds me of the Cabbage Patch Kids! Ah..... childhood memories. Mama is still doing OK standing at work. No ridiculous swelling yet and not getting too tired. Or not any more then usual I should say. Zack took me out for a date the other night because he decided we should take full advantage of the time we have just him  and I  left. We went to dinner and a movie. I am so glad Zack is my husband and I LOVE spending time with him. We had a great time. It was probably one of the last evenings Zack and I had left until baby is born to just do something him and I. Zack and I are a little ahead of the game when it comes to our friends so while we are gonna have a baby everybody else it seems is getting married this year, lol. We have showers, parties, and weddings every weekend from now until my due date. Good thing we finished the nursery so early! I am SO excited for everybody and am ready for the festivities to begin!

Lets go pickin' !

I found out about a "U-Pick" raspberry farm from my sister and was SO excited to go. Zack and I decided to take a drive out to it and pick to our hearts content! I LOVE raspberries! When we got to the place it was awesome. It was a beautiful house ( Mine and Zack's dream house) set on a couple acres. It was so cute. It is all based on the honor system. They had baskets, bug spray, and a metal box to put $ into when you were done. You can pick to your hearts content from dawn till dusk! I LOVE that kind of life. I tell Zack all the time I would love to get a farm and live of the " fat of the land", so I could have walked there acreage all night.
I love how peaceful it is. One of my new found hobbies (which is turning into a bit of a passion) is growing things. Mostly flowers. At our condo We have added a new flower bed every summer we have lived in it except for this year. They are already filled so this year we decided to do some potted veggies, and had success. There is nothing better then FRESH home grown veggies and fruits! Thinking of all this just reminds me how crazy it is that my body is literally able to grow a baby. Our very own " Homegrown". I am so excited, scared, joyful, nervous, etc. to meet her. I hope she likes me as much as I already love her. AND hopefully she will get the bug and want to help her mama in the garden.

we ran into Charlotte and her Web! Biggest spider I have seen in a long time! We watched her catch a bee and spin it into her web so fast! It was crazy. Like watching the animal planet network!

29 Weeks!

Your baby is growing rapidly now. This week she weighs about 2 1/2 pounds (like a butternut squash) and is a tad over 15 inches long from head to heel. Her muscles and lungs are continuing to mature, and her head is getting bigger to accommodate her growing brain — which is busy developing billions of neurons. Every day, about 200 milligrams of calcium is deposited in your baby's skeleton, which is now hardening. With this rapid growth, it's no surprise that your baby's nutritional needs reach their peak during this trimester. - Babycenter.com
Now that I have hit my third trimester I feel like the " To Do List" is back on. And on top of it I feel like we are behind. I have to start figuring out what pediatrician we will want to use (or general practitioner), call about when we get Payton on our insurance, start reading up on some books for when baby Payton is actually here, have window replaced in our bedroom, get some painting in the house done, professionally have the floors and furniture steam cleaned, not to mention weddings , showers, and parties oh my!? I am just getting a little nervous that I won't have everything in place for Payton before she arrives, or should I say everything in place for me ( since my little one won't know the difference anyways). I can't believe that in a few short weeks Zack and I will be parents! I seem to be having the " HOLY COW" moment. We have finished Payton's nursery and are so excited about it! I think it is gorgeous. Daddy spent a lot of time besides his heart and soul in that room. Zack replaced the window, put up wainscoting, all new trim work, new doors, and put together the furniture. Zack's mom decided that she wanted to buy Payton's bedding for us so we have had it for awhile and were just waiting for the furniture to arrive to set it all up. We LOVE everything together. Small glitch is that we still have a nightstand coming but it was on back order and we won't get it until October. That's OK though because we have the pieces we need for baby. With the crib all set up Zack and I have found ourselves sitting in Payton's room looking at the crib imagining her in it and talking about how excited we are. Our lives will be changed forever and we can't wait.

She is gonna be the apple of our eye!

28 WEEKS:  By this week, your baby weighs two and a quarter pounds (like a Chinese cabbage) and measures 14.8 inches from the top of her head to her heels. She can blink her eyes, which now sport lashes. With her eyesight developing, she may be able to see the light that filters in through your womb. She's also developing billions of neurons in her brain and adding more body fat in preparation for life in the outside world. - Babycenter.com
We had our 28th week doc appt. and everything went really well. I am officially in my third trimester and still feeling pretty good. I will say having theses heat advisories for this summer is getting a little obnoxious!Zack and I are now just getting anxious to be able to see our little peanut. All signs say I am still exactly around my due date, baby is healthy, etc. Before we left for vacation to Indiana Zack and I had some family photos taken. The photographer is one of my sister's friends and is absolutely AMAZING. we had tons of fun. The Leppin's (my sister's family) were getting pictures dona also so it was a good time had by all! here are a few:
You you got it, we decided on a name........ Payton Ann Kerruish
Zack and I have like the name Payton for a long time And we are big Bears fans! ( the spelling is in lieu of Walter Payton). Ann is for a family name ( My dear sister's name, and she was named after my great grandmother). Both Zack and My families are big fans of it. My mom has already coined the nickname "Lil Sweetness". Too cute.
While I was laying down for this picture Payton was getting ready for her close up! lol
She kept kicking the green apple on my belly and making it roll. Julie our photographer thought it was hilarious.

" There is MORE then corn in Indiana! "

This past week Zack and I took off to Monticello,IN to Indiana Beach. It is are last big travel before our little one comes. My parents rented a cabin and my sister, brother-in-law, and niece came down for the week also. My sister and I grew up going to Indiana Beach every summer as a family tradition, so it was fun to go back down with are own families. We had great fun on the boardwalk, beach, rides, water park, splash park, and in the lake. I personally was a little disappointed that I was not allowed to ride ANY rides (LOL)! My sister and I laughed because when we brought my niece to the kiddy land park they even had rides there that had signs that said  NO preggos allowed. My sister said it best...... " Like your 7 month pregnant butt is gonna  WANNA try to fit into the baby cars" LOL.  My parents rented a pontoon boat for one day which was my favorite part of the trip! We putted around enjoying the sun , anchored. and my pregnant butt got to swim and float in the lake for a bit. The only " Uh Oh" I had was that I overdid it a little in the sun one day too much , and was not getting enough fluids. For a moment I felt a bit faint but there is nothing like having a nurse as a mother. She got me drinking some gatoraide (electrolytes), water, and some sugar in me and all was OK. My biggest lesson I have learned in this pregnancy is that I have to slow down a bit. Pregnant or not .... the big man upstairs has made that apparent to me. lesson learned!  Mom and Dad : Thank you SO much for inviting us to Indiana Beach with you. It was a great trip and I am so glad we were able to do it. We love you guys a BUNCH and thank you so much again. xoxoxoxo
Here are  just a few pics from IB........................

27 weeks!

This week, your baby weighs almost 2 pounds (like a head of cauliflower) and is about 14 1/2 inches long with her legs extended. She's sleeping and waking at regular intervals, opening and closing her eyes, and perhaps even sucking her fingers. With more brain tissue developing, your baby's brain is very active now. While her lungs are still immature, they would be capable of functioning — with a lot of medical help — if she were born now. Chalk up any tiny rhythmic movements you may be feeling to a case of baby hiccups, which may be common from now on. Each episode usually lasts only a few moments, and they don't bother her, so just relax and enjoy the tickle   - Babycenter.com
This past week I have been feeling our peanut more then ever! Our next doc appt. is this Thursday coming up and I am excited to check up on the heartbeat , etc. one side note........ why is it the more pregnant i get the more bronzer/make-up I want to wear! LOL  maybe I am secretly from the Jersey shore.
