38 Weeks!

Your baby has really plumped up. She weighs about 6.8 pounds and she's over 19 1/2 inches long (like a leek). She has a firm grasp, which you'll soon be able to test when you hold her hand for the first time! Her organs have matured and are ready for life outside the womb.Wondering what color your baby's eyes will be? You may not be able to tell right away. If she's born with brown eyes, they'll likely stay brown. If she's born with steel gray or dark blue eyes, they may stay gray or blue or turn green, hazel, or brown by the time she's 9 months old. That's because a child's irises (the colored part of the eye) may gain more pigment in the months after she's born, but they usually won't get "lighter" or more blue. (Green, hazel, and brown eyes have more pigment than gray or blue eyes.) Babycenter.com

Last Doc appointment I went to revealed that I was 2cm dilated and everything still seemed to be moving along well. My next appointment is actually this Tuesday instead of Thursday. Zack and I are all set for Payton to grace us with her debut. I am SOOOO excited to meet her. I find myself thinking what is she gonna look like? what color eyes will she have? what color hair? will she have her fathers great big heart and personality? One thing is for sure .... when she hits her quaky middle school age she will be nothing but knees and elbows. Both Zack and I were just appendages in our pre-puberty pics.LOL  While we have been waiting for Payton we decided it would probably be a good idea to carve our pumpkins now. Zack says maybe she was just waiting for her Daddy to get her pumpkin all carved for her before she wanted to come out for Halloween. My husband is going to make one AMAZING father. He was so sweet taking his time to carve Payton's baby pumpkin. I love it, and I love him with all my heart! Here are a few more pumpkin carving pics

37 Weeks!

Your baby is now considered "full term," even though your due date is three weeks away. If you go into labor now, her lungs will likely be mature enough to fully adjust to life outside the womb.Your baby weighs 6 1/3 pounds and measures a bit over 19 inches, head to heel (like a stalk of Swiss chard). Many babies have a full head of hair at birth, with locks from 1/2 inch to 1 1/2 inches long. But don't be surprised if your baby's hair isn't the same color as yours. Dark-haired couples are sometimes thrown for a loop when their children come out as blonds or redheads, and fair-haired couples have been surprised by Elvis look-alikes. And then, of course, some babies sport only peach fuzz. Babycenter.com
I am officially full term! That's crazy. Zack and I can't be anymore impatient! We want our 'Lil Sweetness to come as soon as she can. I have been having contractions here and there, so we will see what the doc has to say this Thursday at my next doc appointment!

Mallory and Jamie 10/10/10!

My best friend Mallory got married this past Sunday, on 10/10/2010, to her hunny Jamie. I got to go over and see the Bride before she took the big walk down the aisle , because I did her hair for her. Mallory is  beautiful and she was  a STUNNING bride! They had an awesome warm fall day, and the atmosphere was gorgeous. Mallory and I have been really good friends since kindergarten , and I could have not picked a more perfect husband for her.Jamie: it also helps a bit that you make your own wine and I now have a lifetime supply! LOL. Zack and I are so happy and excited for the both of you to start this next chapter of your lives together!
The Wedding Party! Mallory's two sisters and Jamie's two sons
Me and my Mallory! I have to say I am definitely looking nine months pregnant : (. It was funny because at the wedding there were two pregnant women(one of them was me of course) and we were wearing the EXACT SAME dress! Got to love Target!

Two of my favorite people! Congrats again to Mr. and Mrs. Mallory and Jamie Sloma!

36 Weeks!

Your baby is gaining about an ounce a day. She now weighs almost 6 pounds (like a crenshaw melon) and is more than 18 1/2 inches long. She's shedding most of the downy hair that covered her body, as well as the Vernice caseosa, the waxy substance that protected her skin during her nine-month amniotic bath. Next week, your baby will be considered full-term. Most likely she's in a head-down position, but if she isn't, your practitioner may suggest scheduling an external cephalic version, where she'll try to turn your baby by manipulating her from the outside of your belly.

In the beginning of this week , Monday, I was having some pretty strong Braxton Hicks so Zack and I thought maybe Payton was dropping. We are definitely no experts considering this is our first but we were excited to see what the doctor would have to say on Thursday. When I went to the doc's office on Thursday we found out that (1) my Belly is measuring about 1/2 week ahead (37 weeks) (2) Payton is in position and her head is down and in place (3) I am fifty percent effaced and (4) I am one centimeter dilated! Our doc told be that I wasn't making those mini contractions up, so I was excited!!! She also said that Payton is measuring at full term , so whenever our 'Lil Sweetness wants to make her debut they will allow her too! Zack and I are REALLY excited and can't wait! I am down to a doctor's appointment every week, so more next week!

Fall Fun

Zack and I invited my bestie, Mallory, and her husband to be , Jamie, to Kuipers farm with us. We decided to do the pumpkin patch AND the apple orchard all at the same time considering we don't know when we would be able to get to a farm again before my due date. Zack picked the perfect family of pumpkins for us. One for him, me , and Payton. Anybody who knows me knows I LOVE the fall season. I am just so excited we get to add a new celebration soon to the season. Payton's birthday! Me and Mallory have been making it a tradition to get to a pumpkin farm together for years so it was great her and her hunny could come! Then we moved onto the apple orchard. We were all told it was literally the LAST day to pick apples because this year all the apple varieties came about three weeks early! Will " the little apple of OUR eye" come early?

We all took a hayride into the orchard , picked some apples, and then got some fresh apple donuts. It was a beautiful day, and I couldn't have been happier to be able to get out there. My husband knows all to well that it would have been the never ending story if we missed it this year. I have brought him over to the dark side since he has met me. There is football, bonfires, the smell of burning leaves, warm home cooked meals, smell of apple and pumpkin spices, cozy sweaters (layering ), beautiful colors, apple orchards, pumpkin farms, scary movies, trick-or-treat, and BEST OF ALL Halloween!!!! what season could be better
