Nine Month Doc Visit actually at 10 Months

Payton actually had her nine month visit the day after she turned 10 months! I don't know how we got behind but we did. This was mommy's first trip alone to the doc with her to handle the shots, etc. She only got 2 shots so it wasn't as bad as in the past getting 4. And boy let me tell you , not even a whimper. She was so happy the entire check-up and even through the shots. Once again all we have to say to that is that she is an " Angel Baby". OK guys here are the numbers..... drum roll please..... Payton weighs 24 pounds and 4 ounces and she is 30 inches long. She is staying consistent in being in and around the 97th percentile in her numbers. Payton cannot hold still, she is on the go ALL the time!!!!Definite furniture cruising and walking with walkers. It's so amazing to me how grown-up she is getting already. i know i know , she is only 10 months. You are not marrying her off anytime soon you say but I am getting a little sad that she is definitely not a baby anymore. Everyday she is becoming more and more of a little toddler. Trust me I love that too , it's just crazy to me how time flies!

Nine Months, Part 2, Plus Teeth!

Yay! Payton FINALLY popped those two front teeth. We are about half way through nine months and I woke her up from nap the other and was SO excited to see her two little front teeth buds! Poor thing. I was just waiting for them. Poor little Payton seems to take awhile to actually pop the teeth but always two at a time! I was a little worried she was just gonna have  her two little  top fang teeth for her first birthday and we would have to make her a vampire baby! Don't worry I already have a costume lined up. But like my sister said she might need a few, lol! Think we are a little Halloween crazy?! Grandpa Davis came over to babysit the other day while I went to one of my many doctors appointment (everything is checking out OK so far) and he said she stood on her own unassisted  for a few seconds! Just a matter a time. She is growing so fast its crazy. She is starting to when you hold her hands take a few steps toward you. We could have not asked for more of an angel!

IB Time!

To Indiana Beach we went! I was so excited to bring our peanut considering our whole family had been going to the lake since I was a peanut! Our trip did start off a little interesting. I have not been feeling well or all together myself probably since Payton has been born. Of course being a new mother I thought that that was just it. As symptoms got worse and the constant shedding of pounds I decided to make a doctors appointment to see if there was anything serious was going on. With family help I kinda self- diagnosed myself with HYPERthyroid but we were not sure. Unfortunately I didn't make it to the doc appointment because I went to the emergency room in pain the night before vacation. First day of vacation I was in emergency gallbladder surgery, second day of vacation I was being discharged and diagnosed with hyperthyroid. Oh boy. There was still no way I was missing vacation relaxing on the lake! I had been looking forward to it since last year! Last year I was preggers and had to take it easy but this year I was gonna be all out! Nope! this year I had to take it easy also because of surgery and NO swimming, boooo. God was watching out for me though because I was not allowed to even pick up Payton for the first week ( I didn't last the week ,lol) and I have no idea when Zack and I would of  been able to have all the help. The Davis, Leppin, Kerruish bunch stayed in a new cabin this year which was AMAZING! The whether was beautiful and we had a lot of fun game nights and water fun. Payton LOVED being outside. She is definitely a nature baby which her father and I love. We took her up and down the boardwalk and to the splash park. Next year she will be able to ride the kid rides with Bel! I cannot even imagine that!Thank you mom and dad for keeping the tradition alive! We always have tons of fun on vacation and what a beautiful place this year.We are so thankful for everything.

Nine Months

I cannot believe how fast it's going! Our little girl is Nine months! Of course we had are amazing photographer take some pics for us again. It was funny because Julie , our photographer, said she just had to make it to Payton's first birthday party to take pictures because she has been taking pictures of her her since she was in the womb ( my maternity pictures). My sister says that Payton has had her own personal photographer : ) which is very true.Where do I start? Payton's personality is really coming out. I truly believe she is an intellectual because She can really stare at things and you can just see the wheels in her head turning. She is whipping her head everywhere to see what it is and how it works! Her tummy is ticklish and she giggles when daddy grabs it. I have said it before but I have always thought a child's laughter is sweet but there is nothing listening to your OWN little one giggle. It is the sweetest sound in the world. A few days after her nine month birthday she started to pull herself up on furniture slowly but surely. Now that is ALL she does. In the beginning she wasn't to sure how to get herself back down after standing but quickly after she figured it out. Now it is hilarious to watch her because she squats all the time. Up , down, up, down! At feeding time we have started to introduce solid solids! She has baby food and then will eat on little pieces of whatever daddy and I are eating. She is a big fan of anything potato which totally shows that she is our child. Her father and I are told meat and potato eaters! She has had bits of, potato, summer spaghetti, watermelon, veggies, and ravioli's so far. Whenever you give Payton something new to eat she gives you a look of disgust so you assume she is not a fan, right? Wrong! She pulls in for more : ). My sister gave her some BBQ potato and Payton ended up grabbing Annie's plate and pulling it to her, lol. She has recently started saying "Dada" and "Ma Ma" which is the sweetest thing ever. I am not sure she knows that I actually am Mama but I know for a fact she knows who Dada is. We had a bet on who would she say first. Well she said Mama first but I know that Zack one because she looks right at him, reaches out, and said Dada. Our little girl is still a great sleeper! Still don't know numbers for you guys because our 9  month doc check-up actually isn't until she is 10 months. This little girl is EVERYTHING to us!
