It is Official!

It is official! Me and Zack are going to expand our family and have a little kerruish! We had our second doctors visit today.
About five weeks ago I took a pregnancy test, and it came out positive. Me and Zack were ecstatic and called to make our first doctors appointment. Our calculations put me to about eight weeks pregnant and we were so excited we told our close family. Unfortunately our first doctor appointment did not go as expected. I was healthy in all aspects but three ultrasounds and a couple hours later they found a baby , but no heartbeat. It was very scary and my wonderful husband definitely was my rock through that visit ( although the poor thing was just as scared and more confused as I was).We were told that we had to do blood testing to make sure the pregnancy was viable and just early, or if we were in the process of losing the baby.
Through this period of time Zack's grandpa Kerruish was on his last leg battling cancer and our beloved "POPPY" (Zack's grandpa Lindstedt) was diagnosed with esophagus cancer. Me and Zack had a planned get-away the fist week of March to Freeport, Bahammas, and that is when we were going to receive the results if we had a viable pregnancy or not.Needless to say our family was looking for some good news by this point!! Luckily a phone call from my father to me and my husband down in the Bahammas confirmed from the doctors office to us that we were pregnant and just earlier then what we expected! We were able to let Grandpa kerruish know the good news before he passed away at Zack's Aunt Jill and Uncle Ernie's house in Venice, Florida on March 7th, 2010. Poppy of course was ECSTATIC and can't wait because he will have three great grand babies within the year. Please keep Poppy and our family in our prayers. We are still waiting to hear what type of care he will have to go through to kick the cancer's butt, and that is the type of wonderful positive outlook Poppy has right now. We love him very much.
So today was our second doctors visit which confirmed a very healthy baby at eight weeks old and a 171 heartbeat.Baby Kerruish is due on Novemeber 1st, 2010 ( could it maybe come on my FAVORITE holiday, Halloween?). I am completely convinced that I am having a boy and I am pretty sure the heartbeat confirms wives tales.lol! I really can't complain about my pregnancy so far. Little waves of nausea, very tired at the end of the day, and learning how to give up the amount of caffeine I was used to drinking. Although baby is teaching me healthy habits, because anybody that knows me well knows that if I continued to drink the amount of caffeine I drank I would develop ulcers soon. LOL. We are very excited and couldn't wait to share the news!
