Happy FIRST Easter Payton

Happy Easter everyone! Our little peanut is 6 months in this picture! We had a wonderful Easter with Payton and the whole family. We started the day with church with Diane and then we all headed over to my parents house for an Easter Egg Hunt and brunch! Boy oh boy was Payton spoiled by the Easter Bunny this year! Two big baskets of fun.It was great watching Isabel run around for the Easter Egg Hunt and Payton was thoroughly entertained also. I hope everyone was blessed with an amazing Easter!

Five Months!

So yes I know that I am not winning Mother of the Year award. I am literally posting about Payton at 5 months and she will be 6 months in a few more days. I am still getting the hang of balancing mommy life and working life. I think I got the hang of it but now I am lagging on updating this blog! LOL I absolutely cannot believe how fast little Payton is growing now!Payton is more and more interested in EVERYTHING. Always intensely looking around and taking as much as she can in. She loves bouncing in her exercauser and fiddling with her giraffe stuffed animal. She is completely entertained by her cousin Bel !We laugh because we don't think her legs ever stop moving. It doesn't matter if she is laying on the ground, sitting on your lap, or being held those legs are going a mile a minute."Ya Ya" ( my mom) says she is just like her mommy and daddy always on the go. Our little peanuts hair is really starting to grown in and I love the one little piece on her sweet head that always wants to stick straight up!Payton has accomplished getting all her first taste of veggies. She is a BIG fan of sweet potatoes. We are now giving her first tastes of fruits.Of course she is a fan of what we have tried so far because they are nice and sweet.Since we have started the whole solid feeding I was worried about how much to give and how much formula she should be in taking. Last time we went to the doctor they gave us a chart of recommended servings and formula they should be taking in. When I came to pick up Payton after work from my moms house one night I was worried because they were recommending to drop a bottle soon and I knew that I wanted to try to also drop a nap soon(.pk was still taking 3 short naps during the day). It all seemed like so much to mess around with on her and I was so worried she wouldn't do well with it. My mom pep talked me and said we will take one thing at a time. I swear my daughter heard everything and just wanted to put her mom at ease. The very next day ,on her own, she decided to drop a bottle. She was just fine with it! Within a week she was down to two longer naps during the day. We have honestly been blessed with an angel for a daughter. Her personality is just getting bigger and bigger everyday. We get to hear her belly laughs a lot more these days and I could just live off of those alone. Now that the weather has warmed up a bit we have gotten to take Payton on walks around the neighborhood in her stroller. She seems to really like it,looking around at everything and hearing new noises. Little Payton started of 5 months by accomplishing rolling from her back to her tummy, by mid month( April 12th) she was sitting up completely on her own, and by months end (April 19th) she has cut her very first tooth! I cannot believe how fast it is all happening. I could not be happier and prouder for my little nugget.

rock and ROLL!!!

March 26th marked a new era for our little peanut! She spent the day with Grandma Kerruish and showed of a new trick! At 5 months and 3 days old Payton decided to roll from her back to her tummy! What a big girl! I got the call while I was at work( a saturday) from Zack to tell me. Part of me couldn't believe it! I had to see it for myself. Zack and I were going out that night for a suprise birthday party for a good friend so by the time I got home from work poor Payton had a small window of time to show her mama what she could do( she decided to make mommy wait). Payton had her very first over night with Grandma Kerruish that night but boy oh boy the next day when we brought her home she did not hold back. Rolling is all she wanted to do! She would roll to her tummy and then get kinda frustrated because she wanted to figure out how to back on her back!I love my little peanut and cannot believe how big she is getting. EVERYDAY somthing new!
